Ace Cafe London, celebrating the 80th anniversary of having originally opened in 1938, is delighted to be able to confirm attendance, with stand and display, at the prestigious 10th annual Motor Bike Expo show, Verona, held from 18th – 21st January 2018.
In addition to combining factory production, race, off-road and adventure bikes, motocross, streetfighters, tourers, trikes, cruisers, classics and the best of bespoke and custom built machines, cafe racers, to include through to modern builds, based on the styles, legends and icons of the 1960s and 1970s, will again be amongst the myriad of special and custom built bikes to be found displayed in many of the shows halls.
This year the show features the prestigious MBE Award – to be chosen by an international panel of judges – the ultimate award given to the best motorcycle present at Motor Bike Expo.
Celebrated special guests debuting at Verona Motor Bike Expo 2018 include the renown New York City (USA) based Japanese artist Makoto Endo . Makoto specialises in the painting on canvas of motorcycles with the aim “to paint the sound of the engine”. He will be working “live” on the Ace stand using only Indian ink flung and applied by bamboo chop-sticks!
The Ace presence and display at the show also includes the Verona debut of the one-off, factory special, Ace liveried Triumph Thruxton 1200R, along with an array of Ace Cafe, Rockers, 59 Club and StoMoCo items, together with the critically acclaimed, seminal, 312 page definitive hard back book “Ace Times – Speed thrills and tea spills, a cafe and a culture” by author Mick Duckworth.
Attracting nearly 160K visitors in 2017, there is something on display at the show to suit every rider and anyone interested in riding – the world’s leading manufacturers, specialist brands, famous “biking” faces, stars from racing and competitions and, with the goal of painting helmets “live” in a livery that celebrates the tenth year of the show, new for 2018, is “The Art of Kustom”, a competition that brings together eight top artists from Asia (Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan), as well as guest celebrities from the world’s two-wheeler TV shows.
See you in Verona!
