Sorry No Under 18’s
Ace Cafe London is hosting the annual Eddie Cochran Tribute Night on Saturday 7th April 2018. This year celebrates not only both the 80th anniversary of the cafe having originally opened in 1938 and the year of Eddies birth in Minnesota USA, but also the 60th “Diamond” anniversary of the 1958 release on Liberty Records of his seminal teenage anthem “Summertime Blues”. This established Eddie as one of the great rockers, his sadly brief career including a number of very special hits such as “C’mon, Everybody”, “Somethin’ Else” and “Teenage Heaven”.
The evening at the Ace features the welcome, long awaited and much anticipated, return to the cafe of the highly polished, well-oiled live rock n’ roll sounds of Darrel Higham & The Enforcers, with DJ Flat Top Dave on the decks spinning the wax.
The evening includes the chance to win prizes, including a pair of tickets to go to the forthcoming Jukebox & Retro Fair, at Brighton Racecourse on Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd April, as well as CD’s, copies of both UK Rock n’ Roll and Vintage Rock Magazines, and Ace Cafe London goody items!
To be in with a chance of winning, retain your door entry raffle ticket. Draw to be held on the evening.
