Ace Cafe London is hosting the annual Gene Vincent Tribute Night on Saturday 10th February. This year marks the 60th anniversary of “ Say Mama”, “Git It”, “Rocky Road Blues” and “Baby Blue” being released by Capitol Records in 1958, with the late great rocker’s celebrated hits having begun in 1956 with “Be Bop A Lula” and the film “The Girl Can’t Help It”, setting Gene on the path to stardom.
The evening features the renowned Graham Fenton and band The Carolinas, together with guest Steve Aynsley. With DJ Bill Guntrip on the decks it all makes for an evening of sound that is dedicated to the legend, Gene Vincent
Prizes up for grabs on the evening include, courtesy Rollercoaster Records, the double CD “Tribute To Gene Vincent ‘A Piece At A Time’, together with copies of Vintage Rock Magazine and a pair of tickets for two to attend the cafe’s forthcoming “Eddie Cochran Tribute Night” with Darrel Higham & The Enforcers, on the evening of Saturday 7th April!
To be in with a chance of winning, just retain your door entry raffle ticket. Draw will be held on the evening.
