Ace Cafe London’s regular monthly Hot Rod night this month includes DJ George Guntrip on the decks celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Sun Records release by Elvis in July 1954 of “That’s All Right”.
Putting “Safety First” and going from “Street to Strip”, this year is the 60th anniversary of the British Drag Racing Association (BDRA), formed in June 1964, and the 70th anniversary of the NHRA “Drag Safari” in 1954, this lead to the US Nationals for drag racing being established in 1955, and across the USA to this day drag racing is governed by the NHRA:
