Sunday 18th August
9am – 5pm

The cafe’s annual ‘Ladies Day’ this year includes the opportunity to meet and chat with two special guest authors, signing copies of their respective books.

Zoë Cano is an adventurer, writer and photographer.  In addition to the adventures that she recounts in her delightful and gripping books she has: rowed the entire length of The Thames from its source in the centre of England to Greenwich; travelled through the Amazon; walked distances along the Great Wall of China and even crossed the Peruvian Andes on horseback!

In 2012 Zoë crossed the American Continent solo, without support or assistance, on a classic Triumph Bonneville T100.  She’d just passed her test and hadn’t done much more than 100 miles on a motorbike before the trip!

2014 saw a return to the USA to undertake a challenging 2,000 miles on another classic bike through the southern states of Georgia, Alabama and the Gulf Peninsula of Florida.

In 2016 the challenge was a 3,000 mile solo escapade through the iconic Baja California, Mexico – this time in an old truck!

In 2018 Zoë completed a three month, 4,000 mile adventure through New Zealand, this time on the new 900cc Triumph Bonneville.  Her new book “Hellbent for Paradise” covering stories of this antipodean adventure is newly released and will be available (along with her other books) at Ladies Day at the Ace Cafe.

Eddie Mann is author of the fast-paced and gripping novel “Ordinarily Unthinkable” and, living in Northampton, Eddie started to write in 2015 after being diagnosed with severe depression and finding himself at a very low point in his life and says that “writing literally saved my life”. With success as a novelist, in September 2017 Eddie became a patron for the Milton Keynes based charity Milton Keynes Reader Service, for more about which, and the work they do, visit their website www.miltonkeynesreaderservice.org.uk

“Ordinarily Unthinkable” was followed by Eddie’s second novel, a thriller and sequel, with the title “Messenger”, and his third called “The Nameless Ones”.

Ace Cafe London has signed copies of the books “Hellbent for Paradise” and  “Ordinarily Unthinkable” up for grabs as raffle prizes at the Ace, spend £5 or more over the counter at the cafe from 9.30am and receive a raffle ticket.
Draws to be held at 3pm.
