Ace Cafe London teams up once again with MSV with a pair of tickets up for grabs as a prize to attend the 7th annual “American SpeedFest”, Sunday 2nd June. This is when Kent’s world famous Brands Hatch circuit is transformed over the weekend of 1/2 June, for the seventh successive year, into a scene from Daytona!
Making its return as the headline act is the superb NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, bringing with it all the pomp and circumstance that is so closely associated with the USA. Outrageous driver introductions, cheerleaders and The Star Spangled Banner all being featured, and building up towards a bumper-to-bumper contest reminiscent of the world-famous Sprint Cup.
With a unique mix of noise and drama, including Euro NASCAR holding four races for these mega Chevrolet V8 stock cars at SpeedFest 7, (two each day), the American theme continues across the support races with a top support bill including Bernie’s V8s (a series for classic V8 cars), Pick-Up Trucks, Legends (based on 1930s US stock cars) and big F5000 single seaters. As well the “American Icon” demonstration runs, the “big rigs”, the weekend celebrates 55 years of the iconic Ford Mustang with a special display featuring examples of the model from the past five and a half decades.
Off-track there’s a host of US themed activities throughout both days, monster trucks and 4 x 4’s, a myriad of classic American cars, Hot Rod and Street Rods, cheerleader displays, live music, American cuisine and Victory Lane, where spectators are just inches from the winning car and drivers for the NASCAR post-race celebrations!
Brands Hatch motor circuit is the perfect host venue – its natural amphitheatre offers unrivalled views of all the action, and its facilities are second to none. And it has great road links too, being just 5 minutes from junction 3 of the M25.
