Teaming up once again with MSV, Ace Cafe London has a pair of tickets up for grabs as a prize to attend the DTM German Touring Car Championship, returning to Brands Hatch on August (11/12) after a five-year absence. The prestigious German-based touring car series will race on the legendary Kent Grand Prix circuit for the first time.
DTM is the world’s fastest and most technologically advanced tin-top racing series, featuring cars based on saloons from BMW, Audi and Mercedes. The innovation and manufacturer involvement in DTM is at a level scarcely seen outside of F1.
DTM boasts an outstanding roster of driving talent, with this year’s grid including ex-Grand Prix drivers Paul Di Resta and Pascal Wehrlein. Both are former champions in the category, and will be joined in a top-drawer Mercedes line-up by local driver Gary Paffett from Bromley, another former champion with a Brands Hatch DTM win to his name, and he currently leads this year’s championship.
Both races this weekend will be 55 minutes plus a complete lap, with one held on Saturday, the other on Sunday. In both races, the drivers have to pit at least once for a set of fresh tyres.
In addition to the racing, there will be a classic F1 demonstration on the full GP circuit both days from retro 1990’s F1 cars – including a 1991 Dallara F191, and a Footwork Arrows FA13b.You can also meet your favourite DTM drivers in the new Fan Village.
Spend £5 or more over the counter at the Ace from 6pm on Monday 6th August , occasion of the cafes “German Night (BMW, Mercedes)” held regularly on the first Monday of each month, and receive a raffle ticket.
